Boudoir is truly an artform. It’s not porn and it’s not something dirty or naughty. While the images can certainly evoke strong feelings, the art and styling of the female body is an artform. From the earliest days of fine art, images have been created featuring women’s bodies and it does not need to be explicit to be sexy. If women are healing from a diagnosis like breast cancer or who’ve been through chemotherapy treatments it can take a toll on their confidence as they lose hair or breasts. And in the process of recovering from these terrible circumstances boudoir can be incredibly healing.

Boudoir truly allows you to see yourself through the eyes of another. When a woman is able to view herself from an entirely different angle, she can realize that what she sees is not what others see. Society has formed a critical view of women’s bodies and so many women feel they are imperfect based on unrealistic retouched magazines and impossible beauty standards. So many women spend so much time trying not to be seen or judged.
