I had been wanting to schedule a boudoir session for several months. I had been looking at several photographers and Shalista’s photos really stood out. All of her photos are beautiful and she has so many positive reviews. I was able to book a last minute session so I didn’t have a lot of time to think about it. The day of the session I was definitely nervous. The hair and makeup was beautiful and Shalista made me feel so comfortable throughout the session. My photos are so beautiful and so much better than I could have imagined and my husband loves them! I definitely recommend Shalista and can’t wait to book another session!

Choosing to do a second shoot with Shalista was a no brainer for me. I loved all the images I got during my first shoot, the only problem I had with looking at those pictures now was that I was wearing my wedding ring and the images were an anniversary gift. I wanted to do a second shoot after getting a divorce, one that was for me. I looked at pictures on Shalista’s website and Facebook group to get outfit ideas, and the ladies at Bella Vous were super helpful too! I was excited for my shoot, definitely calmer getting my hair and makeup done this time compared to the last time. Narrowing down my images was difficult, I loved all of them and the book turned out gorgeous! I would highly recommend doing a shoot with Shalista, the investment is worth it! I can’t wait to do another shoot again!

t’s 100% worth it! It’s empowering and life changing whether your doing it for yourself or not. From the start of booking to the beautiful hair and makeup to the final photos, Your mind’s image of yourself will never be the same again. I have worked with the women who have come back 2 and 3 times to have it done! To see my own self in my photos and know that is 100% me was mind blowing. Do I really look like that?! Dang I didn’t realize I could look like that! After internalizing all those insecurities and what ifs.. seeing the true art and beauty that Shalista captured in my photos and the many many other clients, I always recommend to anyone to do it! We have had clients from all walks of life, job professions and all ages. There is no limitations!! I myself as well as many others are transformed into stunning creations that is 100% you. Shalista was amazing to work with. The entire session was like you were old friends just enjoying another day of regular pictures. She had me so comfortable I had the courage to do pictures with the white sheets and a wet tank. I was so nervous for the reveal, I had no idea what to expect. When she started playing the slideshow all I could do was cry. This wasn't me! The pictures were absolutely amazing. This was definetely one of the best experiences I've had and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

After the shoot, I felt amazing, powerful, a sex goddess. I finally understood what my husband kept telling me. I am sexy as hell.

I had always felt unseen and not special. I wanted to feel unique and beautiful. The day of my shoot, my husband was out of town. I went in excited and ready. The makeup artist was amazing. I gave her free rein to do me up as she saw me. I took a few selfies and sent them to my husband to which I received several wows and sexy and beautifuls. When it came time for my shoot, Shalista took me through each step, arch, smile, toe point, finger curl. It was wonderful. And when we were done. She asked if there was anything else and I asked for one more photo. Up to this point, I had hidden my scars, my mom stomach, my stretch marks. But my goal was to see me. So, I stripped down to all my glory, wearing nothing but my wedding ring and the first necklace my husband ever gave me and asked her to find a way to show me the real me. Today, I get to see my revel and I can’t wait to meet me again.

This experience gave me the confidence boost I needed, it gave me the first ever glimpse of who I am and what I can be. Not what others think and or thought of me. When I got to the photo shoot I was nervous I didn't know if I would really want to see what I look like, but the nerves went away immediately. Shalista and the beautician made me feel so comfortable that I didn't think twice about anything I was doing. I felt completely at ease and wonderful in all of the beautiful lingerie.

I was incredibly nervous about doing a boudoir session, seeing as I don’t consider myself as “sexy” or “photo worthy”. I decided to go ahead and go for it with my friend so that we both had the experience and could show our men back home how sexy we can be! And I can’t be more glad that we followed through!

I will admit I was pretty apprehensive about the whole situation because I felt like I wouldn’t be good at any of the poses and the photos wouldn’t be any good. But Shalista directed me into each and every pose and I started to feel more confident as time went on! I felt like I was in a dream where I felt so damn confident and sexy and I looked at the camera and showed my “sexy face”!

After the session, I felt so empowered and relaxed, I never in my life thought that a photo shoot would bring out such powerful feelings! Once I saw the photos I was awestruck! I could not believe that those photos were in fact me, looking real sexy if I might say! They turned out so much better than I expected and it was so hard to choose between them!

I would recommend this to absolutely anyone! It is fun and a great confidence booster if I might say! I honestly can’t wait to do this again a couple years from now and see the differences between shoots!

It was such an incredible experience! My boyfriend tells me all the time how beautiful I am, but I’ve never seen or felt it until this shoot. When I saw the photos, I was truly in awe. I had a hard time believing that it was me. I finally was able to see what he sees. I have never felt so beautiful or sexy. I truly believe every woman should have a boudoir shoot done. I started off doing it for him and in the end it was more for me. And it was so worth it.

Any time we have done any kind of family pictures, wedding pictures, anything... what I envision in my head never seems to be what the final product and I usually end up somewhat disappointed. This was one of my biggest fears with the shoot. And I was worried at how bad I was going to damage what little self confidence I had gained over the last few months. But when I sat down for my viewing I could not believe it was ME I was looking at! And my makeup and hair was SPOT.ON! Shalista took my visions and improved on them 10 fold. I had such a hard time picking what pictures to put in the album, I actually ended up paying to add in additional!

My anniversary is in June, but after seeing the pictures I couldn't wait and ended up giving them to him for Christmas also. Shocked does not even begin to describe my husband's reaction! He sat there speechless, red-faced and just smiling and nodding with each picture. Later he told me how he couldn't believe what a lucky guy he is that he had a wife that was willing to do that for him, to go completely out of my comfort zone and surprise him like that. And he was so glad that I was finally able to see myself the way he sees me. He actually laughs when he catches me looking at the pictures (because I do it all the time), saying "I'm starting to wonder if this was my gift or yours". And he's not wrong, it really did end up being for me too. As a mom, I usually put everyone else first, so consciously thinking of myself and taking care of myself before the shoot was amazing. And then seeing the pictures after the shoot boosted my confidence SO MUCH! And the funny thing is that taking care of myself is reflecting in my family. My kids have been happier and my husband is DEFINITELY happier.

It’s true what they say "happy wife = happy life". Shalista gave that to me/us and I could never thank her enough!

This experience started out as a 10th anniversary gift for my husband! We got married young, didn't get much of a honeymoon and had our first baby 8 days before our first anniversary. We've never really had a big anniversary celebration and I knew I wanted to do something for him. I had been following your boudoir pages for years and have always wanted to do it! With that milestone anniversary coming up, I thought now was the time! I had actually been working really hard at getting my body back to "pre-kid" and what better way to celebrate that as well! Cost was always a factor... we've never had a lot of "extra" money, but if I was going to do this, it was going to be with the best photographer and this was going to be an investment! I finally made the appointment and was super excited! It don't ever recall being "nervous" about it! Just super excited that I was finally going to do this! The only thing I was nervous about was my "sexy face," I'm a super smiley person and love smiling for pictures so I think that was what I was most nervous about.

Lacey did my hair and makeup and made the start of my appointment totally comfortable! She's freaking amazing at her job and I was HOTT!!! I really couldn't wait to get started at that point and I was ready! A word to the wise....STRETCH!! If there was something I can tell everyone preparing for a session, some of the poses feel WEIRD, But I took her word! My muscles were shaking trying to hold poses, it was like a 2 hour intense yoga class in your lingerie!

In the blink of an eye, it was over and I couldn't wait to see my pictures! I made my viewing appointment and it was so hard to keep a straight face at home! I knew what I had just done was going to blow his mind and still needed to wait...until Christmas! I came to see my pictures and was completely blown away...like... speechless! The time came to narrow down my favorites for my album and that was by far the hardest part of the whole process! Literally all the pictures we AMAZING! I have my album sitting at my sister's house...waiting...for Christmas (I take that back...waiting to give my husband the album is the hardest part!) I was so amazed at how I looked from a different point of view! Like...I saw myself how my husband sees me...and I looked amazing! As moms, I feel like all we see are the flaws...the stretch marks, the bags under the eyes, the messy buns because we just don't have the time for ourselves. Being able to see myself in the untouched photos at the viewing left me in complete awe thinking "wow...this is how I look to my husband!"

This experience completely changed how I see myself! I cannot wait to give this to him as a Christmas gift!

This experience was so great and was almost life-changing for me this time around. I feel so confident and really feel pretty for the first time in a long time as a mother of two and a full time working mom.
